No — Regulations require installation by a certified electrician. Our team handles the full installation for you within 48 hours of your order.
How do my tenants buy electricity tokens?
Tenants pay via M-Pesa Paybill 4183611, entering their meter number as the account number. Tokens are delivered instantly via SMS and entered on the meter keypad (STE-18) or loaded automatically (Smart Meter).
What happens if a meter is tampered with?
Our meters have tamper-proof sealed enclosures. Smart meters send an immediate alert to your Tari Electra dashboard if tamper is detected. STE-18 meters lock out on tamper.
Do you deliver and install outside Nairobi?
Yes — we cover all 47 counties. Delivery times outside Nairobi are typically 3–5 business days. Installation is arranged with our county partners.
Can I monitor my tenants' electricity usage?
Yes. Every meter order includes free access to the Tari Electra cloud dashboard, where you can see real-time usage, balance, and payment history for every unit.
Do you cover all 47 counties?
Yes — we deploy nationwide. Outside Nairobi, installation is typically within 3–5 business days via our county partner network.
